Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth workflow and a positive patient experience.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilized.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in areas such as General Dentistry and Prosthodontics.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
Proficiency with dental software systems, including Epic or similar systems, is a plus.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with infection control standards and HIPAA compliance.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable.
