Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, as well as proficiency in medical terminology and aseptic techniques. The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experiences.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilized.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Manage patient records, including maintaining accurate medical records and updating medical histories.
Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient comfort.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental clinic's calendar effectively.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures to ensure patient safety.
Assist in prosthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dental assistant role is preferred.
Knowledge of general dentistry principles, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques is essential.
Familiarity with dental systems, such as Open Dental, including electronic medical records management.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Can be cross-trained and is open to learning multiple roles within the office.
Must be RDA licensed.

Pay: $12.02 - $20.00 per hour
