Part-Time Pediatric Dental Assistant - Casper Dental Corp PLLC - Keller, TX

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our pediatric dentists and ensure a positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and patient care will be invaluable in creating a safe and welcoming environment for children.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and perform basic dental receptionist duties using Eaglesoft or similar software.
Help with the management of inventory by ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Support the dentist in various procedures including prosthodontics as required.

Requirements

Knowledge of dental terminology is essential for effective communication within the clinic.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Understanding of anatomy related to pediatric dentistry to assist effectively during procedures.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Proficiency in aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during treatments.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond to patient needs with empathy.
Previous experience in medical coding is a plus but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with children and their families.
