Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Epic for managing medical records and patient information.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging and assist with the interpretation of results.
Maintain accurate medical coding for procedures performed in the office.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Perform administrative tasks as required, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and ability to maintain a sterile work environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and understand basic medical coding principles.
A team player who can work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and other staff members.
