Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment.
Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed.
Provide support in various dental specialties, including Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatrics.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure all dental equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and maintained properly.
Handle administrative tasks such as managing patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of infection control practices.
Familiarity with dental systems and procedures related to Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatrics is desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring is an asset.
Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
