Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth and gums to diagnose dental conditions.
Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Perform various dental procedures including fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
Educate patients about oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Maintain accurate medical records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient flow.
Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in the clinic.
Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education.

Skills

Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles for treating younger patients.
Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practice.
Experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred.
Familiarity with medical records management systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy related to dental health.
Proficient in using Epic or Dentrix software for patient management.
Skills in prosthodontics for restorative procedures.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively with support staff.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
