Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the highest standards of infection control and documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized care instructions.
Assist in the development of treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
Support four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Qualifications
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in general dentistry practices and familiarity with dental office operations.
Experience with medical records management and documentation review is preferred.
Knowledge of infection control standards and HIPAA compliance is essential.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
Previous experience in pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.
