Dental Hygienist - Patient Care Specialist - Hovland Dental - Plymouth, MN

The position is for 1-2 days per week (Monday-Tuesday) at a well established private practice located in Plymouth. Our office is a great place to work with many long time patients.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality oral care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and promoting oral health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care.- Assess patients’ oral health and report findings to the dentist.- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as required.- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations and policies.- Follow infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dental Hygienist (preferred).- Valid Dental Hygiene License in the state of practice (required).- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- Typically works in a dental office setting.- May require standing for extended periods and some physical exertion.- Exposure to dental equipment and instruments.
