OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients while assisting the orthodontist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and record vital signs as necessary.
Utilize 3D scanners for capturing precise dental impressions.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate documentation.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Support pediatric patients with a friendly and reassuring demeanor.

Skills

Proficient in dental terminology to facilitate effective communication within the clinic.
Experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous for managing patient interactions.
Familiarity with pediatrics to cater to younger patients effectively.
Knowledge of prosthodontics can enhance understanding of various treatment plans.
Experience with Epic or similar dental software for efficient record management.
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately.
Strong assisting skills, particularly in four-handed dentistry techniques.
Familiarity with working in a dental clinic environment is preferred.
