Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Perform infection control procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, and ensure proper documentation of patient records.
Monitor and record vital signs as needed, providing support to patients throughout their treatment.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including general dentistry and pediatrics.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping.
Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and medical terminology is essential.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is highly desirable.
Experience with medical imaging techniques and vital sign monitoring is an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children in pediatric settings.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
