Job Title: Dental Assistant (DA)/Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Location: Little Cloud Pediatric Dentistry, Lafayette, CA
Employment Type: Part-Time (Transitioning to Full-Time)
Hourly Rate: $22 - $32 per hour, commensurate with experience
Office Hours: Alternating Tuesday-Friday and Thursday-Saturday
Weekdays: 8am-5pm; Saturdays: 8am-12pm

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be warm, hardworking, and a team player with a passion for helping children. . This role is initially part-time, with the opportunity to transition into full-time as our practice grows.

Key Responsibilities:
â Clinical Support:
Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments and materials necessary for dental procedures.
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including cleanings, sealant applications, and surgeries.
Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays).
Perform coronal polishing and apply fluoride treatments as directed.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
â Patient Interaction:
Welcome and prepare patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about their procedures.
Educate children and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of dental health.
Provide support and reassurance to anxious or special needs patients, utilizing our therapy dog, Pearl, to enhance comfort.
â Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment information.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.

Qualifications:
Active and good standing DA or RDA license
Any applicable certifications: coronal polish certificate (desired), dental radiographs and sealants
Experience working in pediatric dentistry is a plus
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine love for working with children.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility and adaptability in a growing and dynamic practice environment.
