Job OverviewWe are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our friendly team in a family run dental clinic. Out patients are very nice. Experience is a plus but new graduates are welcome. We require good work ethics and a person that is punctual.
Our practice is very organized aimed at making the assisting position as easy as possible. We have everything in cassettes and 3 sterilizers for a solo dentist practice. We want our staff to be able to focus on the patients and enjoy their day here.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various restorative dental procedures.
Prepare and maintain the dental operatory by ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
Manage medical records and documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as part of treatment planning.
Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene practices.
Maintain an aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes is essential.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus, enhancing our ability to cater to younger patients effectively.
Ability to assist in various dental procedures while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for managing medical records and patient interactions.
Proficiency in using dental equipment, including 3D scanners, is advantageous but can be learned on the job.
