OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dental professionals while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental assisting tasks and familiarity with dental software systems.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, including confirmations and reminders for patients.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
Support various specialties including Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatrics as needed.
Assist with medical coding for insurance claims processing.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with dental clinic operations is a plus.
Proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft.
Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and safety standards is essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not required.
A willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry trends.
