Job OverviewWe are seeking a Dental Assistant that has a bubbly personality and is excellent with children to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic while providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed for patient assessments.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software such as Dentrix.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front office tasks as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Monitor vital signs when necessary to ensure patient safety during procedures.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming and fun environment for young patients.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills or experience:

Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of dental records management.
Experience working with children.
Experience in a dental receptionist role is a plus.
Proficiency in using X-ray equipment and 3D scanners is highly desirable.
Must have knowledge of pediatric dentistry.
Previous experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred.
