Dental Assistant - Dr. Jeffrey Little DDS - Placerville, CA

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating accurate dental models.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments for follow-ups and consultations.
Conduct preliminary examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
Provide education to patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records is preferred.

Experience
We're excited to welcome candidates with experience in dental assisting or those who have completed an accredited dental assistant program! If you're familiar with medical terminology and family dentistry or have previous experience, that's a fantastic bonus. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry would be helpful.
