Dental Hygienist - Smith Family Dental Solutions - Cary, NC

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining optimal oral health for our patients.
Duties

Perform dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Take and record vital signs as part of patient assessments.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review for each patient visit.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Utilize aseptic techniques during all procedures to minimize risk of infection.
Work with pediatric patients, providing age-appropriate care and education.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to general dentistry.
Experience with infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Strong skills in documentation review and maintaining medical records.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, assisting as needed.
Knowledge or experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort and education.
Commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry standards.
