OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment in the dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will support the dentist during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and help manage the flow of the clinic.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record medical history of patients accurately.
Maintain accurate dental records and assist with patient documentation.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist.
Uphold aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs, ensuring a comfortable experience.
Skills
Proficient in general dentistry practices and procedures.
Knowledge of medical and dental terminology relevant to dental care.
Ability to take vital signs accurately.
Familiarity with prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
Experience with dental clinic systems for managing patient records efficiently.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining dental records and assisting with administrative tasks.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
