Dental Assistant - VECCHIO AND VECCHIO DDS - Elyria, OH

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a professional environment. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during various treatments and ensure that the dental office operates smoothly. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for 4-5 days per week, ideally.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental clinic.

Skills

Proficiency in dental terminology and knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
Experience in prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Familiarity with dental assisting protocols and practices within a clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
