Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in North Myrtle Beach, SC
A Registered Dental Hygienist is needed for a state-of-the-art private practice in North Myrtle Beach. This is a part-time position with potential for full-time.
Responsibilities
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their evaluations.
Conduct oral cancer screenings.
Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis.
Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth.
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene.
Take X-rays and dental scans.
Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various conditions.
Maintain documentation and charts.
Monitor supplies.
Requirements and skills
An associate degree in dental hygiene.
A valid license to practice.
At least one year of dental hygiene experience.
Knowledge of adult and child prophylaxis and non-surgical periodontal therapy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA).
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment.
Outstanding communication skills.
A patient and friendly personality.
