Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our practice. One year of experience preferred, but willing to train and work with the right candidate looking to get into the dental field. Flexible hours, no weekends. Up to 40 hours a week available. 8:45 am- 5:15 pm Monday - Friday. Lunch break. One dentist, 6 to 12 patients per day. Solo dental practice, non corporate.
Desired skills: charting in dentrix, FMX (Dexis), prophy polish, PVS impressions (Invisalign, night guard, dentures), fabricating temporary crowns. understanding of implant, crown and bridge, root canal and extraction procedures.
Duties include greeting patients, preparing exam rooms, and helping the dentist during patient examinations and other dental procedures. Between patients, cleaning the exam rooms and replenishing supplies. When not working with patients, you may also assist with administrative tasks, including answering phones as needed. Clean up and preparing office for the following day.
Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:
Virginia State X-ray certificationCurrent BLS and CPR certificationKnowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques, HIPPA regulations (training provided)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsComputer skills (Dentrix, Dexis dental software)Attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
