Experienced Dental Hygienist - Part-Time - Anne Newman, DDS - Roanoke, VA

Our long standing private dental practice in historic southwest Roanoke is seeking a part-time licensed dental hygienist 2-3 days per week. Current work schedule is Tuesday through Thursday 8a-5p, with lunch from 1-2pm. Please see listed expectations as well as anticipated job tasks and skills.

Job Skills/Tasks:

Identify systemic health concerns and their pertinence to oral health
Understand and identify periodontal disease
Complete clinical chart and periodontal chart accurately
Scale/Root plane supra- and sub-gingival spaces
Assist doctor during exam
Capture xrays (full mouth series, bitewings, panorex)
Understand sterilization concepts
Maintain sterilization equipment
Other duties as required

Requirements:

Dental Hygiene certification from an accredited dental hygiene school
Active license to practice dental hygiene in Virginia

(Preferences)

Ability to administer local anesthetic
CPR Certification

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week

No weekends
