Looking for the someone passionate about helping patients take care of their teeth. Fabulous clinic in SW OKC looking for someone incredible to help part time with our dental hygiene schedule. You get to use new technology AND work with a drama free, fantastic group of people!
Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque, calculus or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays or dental impressions
Assist dentist with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Recall and reactivation of patients
Monitor supplies

Skills

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
Outstanding communication skills
Positive, cheerful personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Prior Dental Assistant experience a plus!!!!
Previous Dentrix experience
Consistently willing to learn and improve on skills
Valid license to practice

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Schedule:

No weekends
On call
