OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Manage patient records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and patient interactions.
Provide support in various areas of dentistry including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and periodontics.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations within the dental clinic.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
Current radiology license in the state of Maryland.
