Dental Assistant with Chairside Experience - Carolina Coast Family Dentistry - Shallotte, NC

Our dental practice is seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team in Shallotte. As a Dental Assistant you will be involved in direct patient care.
Dental Assistant duties include:

Prepare patients for treatment ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records
Taking necessary x-rays

Skills

Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Good computer skills; Eaglesoft Practice Management Software experience is a plus
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable

Schedule:

30-36 hours each week
Tuesday - Friday, 8 hours
Off Mondays

Experience: At least 1 year prior chairside dental experience required.
