Jamaica Plain Dental is a privately owned expanding dental practice that is looking to add a Part Time Dental Assistant to our team. Must be a Registered Dental Assistant with the State of MA!
Saturday and Sunday 8-2
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office. This position requires a compassionate individual who is comfortable working with patients of all ages and has a solid understanding of dental practices and procedures.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
Maintain accurate patient records using OpenDental
Educate patients on post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with communication with front desk

Skills

Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control measures.
Understanding of dental coding.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
