Job Description
Dental Assistant
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provides chair-side assistance to dental providers in all phases of restorative, prosthodontic, surgical, endodontic, pediatric and periodontic as provided in General Dentistry.
Qualifications
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have completed an Accredited Dental Assisting Course or 1 year of Dental Assisting experience.
CDA preferred, but not required.
Must be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision.
Knowledge of dental instruments and medical/dental technology.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Must be able to complete Indian Health Service x-ray competency evaluation.
Must be able to provide age-specific care to patients of all ages.
Must pay attention to detail and assume responsibility for tasks assigned.
