Hometown Health Center (HHC) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our team at our Dexter, Maine location. About the Role

As a Dentist at HHC, you’ll play a vital role in improving the oral health of patients across our community. You will diagnose and treat dental conditions, perform a wide range of dental procedures, and provide education on oral hygiene and preventive care. You’ll work alongside a supportive, mission-driven dental team dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

Preferred full-time schedule, but we’re open to part-time or flexible, consistent scheduling that works for you. We value balance and aim to support our providers in building a sustainable work rhythm.
Providers at Hometown enjoy a high level of autonomy in delivering patient care, with support from collaborative teams and leadership that trusts your clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Perform dental procedures including extractions, restorations, impressions, x-rays and oral exams
Diagnose and treat oral health issues such as cavities, gum disease and tooth decay
Provide preventive care and educate patients on oral hygiene best practices
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
Maintain accurate patient records and stay current with advances in dental technology and best practices

Minimum Qualifications

DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school
Active dental license in the State of Maine
Proven experience in general dentistry
Strong communication and patient-relations skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with pediatric patients
Expertise in dental implants or advanced dental procedures
Specialization in a field such as periodontics
