Eastern Shore Pediatric Dentistry is a growing pediatric dental office in Salisbury, MD. We are dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a fun, friendly, and child-centered environment. We focus on making every dental visit a positive experience for our young patients while ensuring the highest level of clinical care. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team!
Applicants must have their Dental Radiology Certificate in the State of Maryland.
We may provide a future scholarship for expanded functions dental assisting.
Job Responsibilities:

Ability to work full time (Monday - Thursday, from 745AM-430PM)
Assist the pediatric dentist and hygienists during patient procedures, including exams, cleanings, sealants, restorative and surgical treatments.
Engage with children to create a positive dental experience.
Apply topical anesthetic.
Take digital X-rays.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Educate parents and patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting.
Ensure a clean and organized treatment area.
Support the team with additional office duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Dental Assisting Certification and X-ray certification (highly preferred but not required).
Experience working with children in a dental or healthcare setting is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate approach.
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
