Smile Aesthetix Dental is searching for a friendly, outgoing, and compassionate full-time dental receptionist to join their team in Algonquin, IL. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Prepare for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting and seating patients.
Take digital and panoramic x-rays and intraoral pictures; take traditional and digital impressions
Prepare dental instruments by sterilizing, restocking and delivering instruments to the treatment area; position instruments for dentist's access; pass instruments and assist dentist chairside.
Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
Document treatment provided, treatment recommended and make necessary updates in patient electronic dental record.
Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Maintain a clean dental office by continuing to follow necessary hygiene protocols
Qualifications:
At least one year of Dental assistant experience is required; great opportunity to sharpen your skills, learn to work with high tech equipment such as: 3D CBCT, waterlase laser, intraoral camera, digital x-rays, and microscope.
Candidate that is self motivated and great at multitasking while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor,
Candidate must have exceptional customer service skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills and must be a team player.
Proficient computer skills required; experience with Dentrix Ascend is a plus!
