OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling using dental software systems such as Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Perform basic administrative tasks, including managing inventory and ordering supplies for the dental clinic.
Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Assist in endodontic and prosthodontic procedures as required, ensuring patient comfort throughout.

Skills

Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with medical coding for insurance purposes is advantageous.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Knowledge of various dental specialties, including endodontics and prosthodontics.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred.
