Dental Assistant - Cameron Station Dental Care - Alexandria, VA

Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Take and record patients' vital signs- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Take dental x-rays- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as fabricating temporary crowns and making same day crown using Cerec System
Requirements:
- Fast learner and willing to follow the office protocols
- Proficiency with Cerec system and same day crown protocols is preferred- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software- Familiarity with medical coding and insurance billing procedures- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work well in a team environment- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
