Dental Assistant - Upstate Prosthodontics - Greenville, SC

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prosthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Our ideal candidate will have experience providing high quality care to patients and experience discussing detailed dental histories and treatment plans. When you join our team, you will assist the dentist during a variety of prosthodontic procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure patient safety.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Manage dental supplies inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed.
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as making impressions or preparing dental materials.
Utilize medical terminology and dental terminology effectively in communication with patients and staff.
Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist as required.
Ensure that the dental clinic is organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, CDA is preferred but not required.
Experience with various dental procedures, such as dentures, crowns and bridges and implant supported prosthetics.
Knowledge of medical records management and familiarity with dental terminology is essential.
Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with prosthodontics is a plus.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and eagerness to learn.
