OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our young patients while ensuring a comfortable and friendly environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working with children.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments and visits.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently, acting as a dental receptionist when needed.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
Uphold aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a but not mandatory.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and prosthodontics is advantageous.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is desirable.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children and their families.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental radiography is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
