Job OverviewWe are seeking a part-time skilled and experienced Registered Dental Assistant for Wednesdays and Thursdays to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Perform digital impressions using the Trios 3 and CEREC Primescan intraoral scanners.
Design and mill ceramic crowns using the CEREC software.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
Monitor vital signs as required during procedures.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
Maintain general office cleanliness.
ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
Dental assisting.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental health.
Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding infection control measures.
Ability to monitor vital signs effectively.
Experience with Dentrix is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. A passion for providing excellent patient care is essential for success in this role.
Experience with CEREC is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
