Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires proficiency in various dental assisting tasks, including working with pediatric patients, managing medical records, and utilizing advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and X-ray systems.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and work areas to ensure a sterile environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
Manage patient records accurately, including documenting treatment plans and progress notes.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including Prosthodontics and general dentistry tasks.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions, particularly for pediatric patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on pediatrics being a plus.
Familiarity with medical records management systems and HIPAA compliance is essential.
Proficiency in using 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
