Job Description

Flagship Dental Group in Longmeadow, Massachusetts is looking for an experienced Associate Dentist. Longmeadow Massachusetts is a residential community located on the southern edge of the Connecticut River's Pioneer Valley. We are a high-quality practice, mostly fee for service office. The successful candidate will be experienced in treatment planning and full scope dentistry.
Our office has 7+ treatment rooms, digital charts and radiographs, Pano/Ceph, intraoral cameras, and plenty of parking.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide and manage direct patient care, including examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of dental technical and support staff as required.
Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine, MA State Dental License or eligibility
Minimum one year experience in full scope dentistry
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of dental evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in your area of expertise
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of dental surgical care
Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients regarding correct usage
