OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting our dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Support front office duties when necessary, including answering phones and managing medical records.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant role in a dental setting.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures, particularly in areas such as prosthodontics and general dentistry.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques.
Strong understanding of infection control practices within the dental field.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred.
