Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental systems, along with proficiency in medical records and imaging.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records for patients, including updating treatment plans and documenting procedures performed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional patient care in both general dentistry and pediatrics.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental systems is essential.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
Proficiency in managing medical records using software such as Epic or similar systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
