Part-Time Bilingual Dental Assistant - Laurel Lakes Pediatric Dentistry - Encino, CA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using software such as Epic and Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions or fabricating temporary crowns when required.
Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist throughout the process.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices.
Experience with medical records management is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
Previous experience in a dental practice is an advantage but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn!
