Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records efficiently.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize dental imaging techniques, including 3D scanning, to assist in diagnostics and treatment planning.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's daily operations effectively.
Perform administrative tasks including filing, inventory management, and handling medical records.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Knowledge of infection control standards and practices within a dental clinic setting.
Ability to perform medical imaging techniques effectively.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
