Dental Assistant - Affordable Dentures & Implants - Destin, FL

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations and treatments.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Schedule patient appointments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic.
Utilize software such as Dentrix for managing patient information and appointments.

ExperienceCandidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

Familiarity with dental terminology and general dentistry practices.
Experience with adjustments, relines and impressions.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly desirable.
Proficiency in handling medical records while adhering to HIPAA standards.
Understanding of prosthodontics is an advantage for this role.
