Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
We are located on the Massachusetts/CT/Rhode Island border, conveniently off 395.
Travel allowance will be provided if candidate is commuting more than 20 miles one way.
2 years experience is desired. Eaglesoft experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities

Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Eaglesoft.
Support various dental specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Computer proficiency is desired.
Radiology certification and infection control certification are required.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:

Proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Experience with vital signs monitoring.
Familiarity with prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry practices.
Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques.
Experience in dental assisting with hands-on practice.
Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and effectively.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft, is preferred.
