Dental Hygienist - Esther Min DDS - Tacoma, WA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our patient centered, biological dental office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and help patients understand the mouth-body connection to improve the overall health of our patients. No BPA or Bis-GMA products utilized in the office. Safe Mercury removal practiced to eliminate mercury in our air. We practice with the most advanced equipment, all the cutting edge technology employed including numerous lasers and devices.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
Utilize knowledge of general dentistry to identify potential oral health issues.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments in compliance with regulations.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, particularly related to pediatrics.

Experience

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge.
Familiarity with infection control systems and protocols within a dental setting.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also being self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
