Job SummaryWe are seeking an energetic, fun and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional, kind, kid friendly, fun compassionate patient care. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures that can involve sedation, managing medical records, and supporting various administrative tasks to enhance the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Utilize Open Dental software for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, managing recall and billing processes.
Perform digital xrays
Support procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist as needed.
Manage sterilization of dental instruments and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist when needed, addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively as well as supporting the recall system
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Assist in marketing
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
Familiarity with dental coding and documentation practices is an advantage.
Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar dental practice management systems is desirable.
Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 60 â 80 per week
