As a dental hygienist, you will play a crucial role in our practice, acting as a superior liaison between the dentist and the patient. Your responsibilities include:
Performing prophylactic and therapeutic dental cleanings to support our patients' oral health and well-being.
Conducting oral cancer screenings.
Fully incorporating soft tissue management, including SRP and Laser treatments, into the clinical protocol.
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
Assisting dentists in assessing and documenting patients' dental care.
Utilizing digital systems (charting, X-rays, scanning, treatment planning, and entering completed procedures) as part of your daily routine.
Collaborating with the dental team to develop and discuss treatment plans.
Providing recommendations for at-home oral care based on individual patient needs.
Ensuring patient comfort and managing anxiety during dental visits.
Administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
Maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Staying current with industry advancements and embracing new technologies.
What Weâre Looking For
Valid NY State Licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
Exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to providing superior patient care.
