Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Conduct documentation review to maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on their specific needs
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and patient management
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff
Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental procedures
Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Requirements

Valid dental hygienist license in the state of practice
Proficiency in using Dentrix software is preferred
Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques
Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential
Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort
