OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in electronic health record systems such as Eaglesoft.
Perform infection control procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff, adhering to established protocols.
Take and record vital signs as needed, providing essential information for patient assessments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience and efficient workflow within the clinic.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
Must have passed Delaware Radiation Safety certification.
Personal time management skills (reliable and comes to work on time.)
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and patient information.
Ability to assist effectively during dental procedures while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
