OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following proper aseptic techniques.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries with professionalism.
Support the dental team in various tasks related to general dentistry and endodontics.

Requirements

Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
Experience with X-ray procedures and knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques preferred.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental is a benefit.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
Aseptic technique knowledge is required for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates willing to learn.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
