Job Description
```Dental Assistant
Duties:- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Take and record patients' vital signs- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Perform dental radiographs (X-rays) and process images- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment- Assist with front desk duties, such as answering phone calls and greeting patients
Requirements:- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Proficient in taking and recording vital signs- Experience in dental assisting, including knowledge of dental procedures and instruments- Familiarity with medical documentation and recordkeeping practices- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment for dental radiographs- Experience as a dental receptionist, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records using Dentrix or similar software- Competency in performing X-rays and assisting with pediatric dentistry procedures
