Job Description

Brinegar Family Dentistry is a solo doctor owned, private practice dental office located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. We are searching for a quality part-time dental hygienist to add to our fantastic team 1-3 days per week. In October of 2024 we completed a total remodel and expansion of our facility that included adding additional treatment rooms and all new equipment. We are now looking to add another compassionate dental hygienist to our existing team as we continue to grow to meet demand within our busy hygiene department.
The office has a wonderful patient base of pleasant patients and is staffed by kind and caring team-members. The practice is entirely FFS/PPO (no Medicaid) and the work schedule at the office is very favorable with no late nights or weekends required. We will have a great degree of flexibility in setting up a part-time work schedule that works best for a quality candidate. At Brinegar Family Dentistry we intentionally schedule one hour recall appointments and do not work accelerated hygiene because we strive to maintain a home-town feel and atmosphere that is focused on relationship building and providing our patients with quality care and heartfelt compassion. At our office hygienists have clinical autonomy and the ability to give their patients the time and attention they deserve in order to provide a great patient experience without high pressure upselling.
In general, candidates should have a warm, friendly demeanor and possess great communication and interpersonal skills. They should be able to easily build positive rapport and develop long-term relationships with patients. Candidates should also be able to work well within a team and should be ready to positively contribute daily to enhance the overall experience for patients who visit our practice.
Daily duties include the normal scope of traditional hygiene care including reviewing medical histories, patient education, providing dental prophylaxis, offering treatment of periodontal disease, taking clinically diagnostic digital radiographs, and utilization of intraoral cameras. Hygiene professionals and the doctor will also collaborate on development of patient treatment plans for a broad range of treatment needs in order to help our patients achieve optimal dental health and long-term stability.
A valid Indiana dental hygiene license and x-ray certification are required to be considered for the position. Experience with OpenDental software is preferred but not required. Experienced hygienists as well as new graduates will be considered for the position.
